1. When will the entries be published in the paper?
 
Approximately 4 weeks after the photos are taken.
 
2. When does the competition end?
 
This depends on the number of entries.
 
3. When will my child’s photo be featured in the newspaper?
 
The photos are printed in the newspaper in a random order, and therefore, we cannot specify on which date your child will be featured.
 
4. Can I enter more than one child in the competition?
 
Yes.  If you want to enter more than one child, it is possible, but any photograph entered must be of an individual child.  No group photos are allowed to be entered.
 
5. Do I need to buy photo’s in order for my child to be entered into the competition?
 
No, entry into the competition is FREE!  There will be an opportunity for you to purchase additional photographs when you select the photograph you would like to enter into the competition.
 
6. Can I choose which photograph of my child is entered into the competition?
 
Yes, the parent or legal guardian must come to the store on the viewing day to select the photograph for entry.  N.B. Should you be unable to make the viewing date, your child will not be entered into the competition.
 
7. What happens if I miss the viewing date, can I still enter the competition?
 
No, this is the only day available to select your photo for the competition.
 
8. What are the prizes?
 
1st prize 30” x 20” Luxury Boxed Canvas rrp £160
Runners Up Prize 16” x 12” Luxury Boxed Canvas rrp £120.00
 
9. Can the prizes be swapped or exchanged?
 
No.  The prizes are as stated, and no alternative will be offered.
 
10.  What if I don’t like the photographs?
 
If you don’t like the photos, there is no obligation to purchase any additional photographs.  You have a choice of whether you would like the photo to be entered into the competition, or to withdraw your child.
 
11. Can I change my mind after I have chosen the photo to be entered into the competition?
 
No.  It is important that you take the time to choose the preferred photograph at the time of viewing, as there will be no further opportunity to change the photograph afterwards.
 
12. If I don’t like the photograph printed in the newspaper, can I choose another one to be printed.
 
No.  It is important that you take the time to choose the preferred photograph at the time of viewing, to ensure that you have made the right choice.
 
13. Will the winners be used in advertising or promotions?
 
Yes, we will use the winning images for future marketing. If parents do not wish us to use their child’s image they must notify Picture Box in writing  (Picture Box, 113 Station Road, Blantyre, Glasgow G72)
 
14. Can I submit my own photograph into the competition?
 
No, only photos taken by Picture Box are permitted.
 
15. How are the winners chosen, and by whom?
 
The winners are chosen by the public.  Full voting details will be printed in the newspaper next to the published photographs.
